I traveled from Phnom Penh, to Siem Reap (Angkor Watt) and Battambang (west from Angkor Watt) all by boat.

Cambodia........nice going..........you picked my favorite country I visited. The most remote country I've seen as the eastern side is mostly barren with roads that are impossible to travel (tour companies don't even go there). If I ever get the desire to travel again in Asia this would be the country. The people here are generally pretty laid back compared to Vietnam and are open to change because their government is still becoming established (federal laws are different in each city).  There are no malls (Westfield's), supermarkets (Woolies), or even postcards to buy. Three quarters of the tourists I talked to got food poisoning here which gave me perfect excuse to eat at luxury buffets for all of......wait for it..........three American dollars.

What got really frustrating was when people didn't understand you, they just nodded their head. Why do they do this? Because in the average job the people on the top are there because they paid their way up and really don't have a clue what's going on. So the people that work for these clueless bosses, who didn't pay their way up, just nod their head when being told something to do and do what's best for the company, normally the complete opposite. I found a good  way to get rid of the confusion was to ask them to repeat what I had just said and I didn't get ripped off because they don't understand English.  The capital, Phnom Penh, is full of luxury government buildings (they really do need a new luxurious embassy and casino - ironically built RIGHT next to each other) and the government puts on the same concert every Sunday with the same 'famous'  singers (trust me, no one you've ever heard of).
